Love to Blog? Get Paid for Blogging with a Blog Job !
With over 71 million bloggers and counting, the world of blogging has grown into maturity status. Most of these bloggers are fun loving amateurs, who just love to write, and write, and write … and don’t get paid a penny. If you are one of those people, now is the chance to start earning some real world dough with it. There are several web sites offering positions or job opportunities for bloggers, one of them being from the famous Darren Rowse, founder of Problogger. Currently the traffic for his site is somewhat plummeting, probably due to his endeavours into big blogging business opportunities.
Hmm, ok, what were we talking about? Right: J O B S. One of Darrens playthings is a blogging job site, where you just might happen to find the job that fits to your blogging interests. In another post Darren shares some advice on how to apply for a blog job. Here is the short list:
- Act Quickly
- Follow the Instructions
- Sell Yourself
- Write Well
- Give examples of Your work
- Be Concise
- Demonstrate a Knowledge of Blogging
- Demonstrate a Knowledge of the Topic
- Don’t apply for everything
- Demonstrate that you’re willing to go beyond writing well
- Stand Out from the Crowd
Well, seems straightforward and simple enough. For the full, detailed list go here and start applying your heart out. This Darren is an interesting guy, seems to earn 6 figure dollars a year with blogging, and looking at all the blogs he is maintaining, it might be true. I just wonder if he sleeps at all, it must take an enormous amount of daily time to write and maintain all those blogs. Hmm, interesting question for my next post…
