On one of my sites I have Google Adsense ads and Amazon ads on the same page. Initially I had 3 Adsense Ads and 1 Amazon Ad. Both Google and Amazon use javascript to deliver the ads and maybe they both use some of the same commands, I don’t know, but lately I noticed something very strange happening: the Google Adsense ads ‘hijacked’ the Amazon ads! Kontera is around for a while now and I started testing it a month or so ago. This text link advertiser system seemed a nice earner next to the AdSense ads and in the beginning I had high hopes for it. But after a month of testing it there is only one conclusion: with Kontera you are a cheap source of traffic for sites like www.shopping.com and www.deals.com.
They target every cheap keyword with their ads and ‘lure’ traffic to their site to convert them into higher paying clicks. Apparently it works for them, but I won’t display Kontera ads anymore on my sites. Will you?
